I got a kick out of this... . .3 screaming teenage girls run over to the car, a Justin Bieber moment they are all Braxtons friends but they have never seen Taia they all wanted to steal her she was so soft, fluffy, and just adorable.

Cool I am going to be a New Aunt
On valentine's day I heard from my brother Nathan that I was going to be another Aunt in October. Leora is pregnant with their first baby. With me being the only sister or girl in the family, I got the news right after my mom did. I am pretty excited, I had to tell everyone at work the next day. Its exciting for me because I have always wanted to be a good aunt and to be well liked its something I value. So another niece or nephew in the family is just awesome~
A QUICK UPDATE
Because Braxton goes to church in Clinton, But we live in Roy we have to go thur the Roy bishop for him to be interviewed and ordained the priesthood. We have talked to the bishop in both wards already, last Sunday Braxton came home from church and said that they were going to be changing the Clinton ward boundaries next Sunday. We have talked about it and Braxton said " Mom it is a trial we are learning about trials in Seminary. " Braxton is determined to receive the priesthood, because it is the priesthood it has to be okayed from 2 bishops, 2 stake presidents and from the First Presidency .
It will be a year next month since I was given the job over the NYK at work, I handle all the Wal-Mart return loads and work with the NYK Logistics managers. It is our busy time right now at work, and handling the NYK part plus my normal job I am managing to keep up. At first in the beginning it was a little overwhelming and very tiring, but I can honestly say it has given me the chance to grow and change, and to try something scary and new.

In My own Little world and a Little piece of Heaven
The whole month of January "I haven't been my normal self" I guess you could say. I have been in my own little world, as I have been really working alot on the inside to heal in areas. Its been great because it is allowing me to think alot. Its been weird I keep stumbling onto other peoples stories on the Internet about taking better care of yourself, getting rid of sugar and soda out of your diet. (I have felt the hint, I think I am being worked on) I wrote last January 2010 on my blog (please read that again if you want) about emotional health and how important it is as well as your physical health.
My mind has been going down a different path, and I have been thinking differently. I was standing at the copier making copies yesterday at work, thinking about 2 of my friends. My life compared with my friends is very blessed. I had a feeling come to me whether it was my own feelings or not I couldn't tell, I know alot of times I get impatient with people but my normal attitude is "to just ignore people " I am not a good friend sometimes I know because I get easily mad and irritated when they arent paying much attention to " my needs". I feel like I am giving all my listening ears to everyone elses needs but when it comes to me they have no time whatsoever. So to get to my point I could be a little more thoughtful with there problems and more helpful.
One of my friends asked for me to keep her in her prayers. That is something I dont even do for myself for my own problems. So that will be a hard one for me to swallow. (Sensitive area)
On Saturday morning (this morning) I woke up and I came across an event that Marie had gone to in Salt Lake with some friends yesterday at the Wasatch Women's banquet and that led me to a book that one of her friends had written in 1994. Marie's friend RaNelle had been in a plane crash and she was burned 75 percent all over her body. She had died and came back to life, she described what heaven was like in her short time there and how she had met her son that had not been born to her yet. I went into the bedroom where Braxton was still sleeping and whispered in his ear the information that I read about heaven.
Braxton has just recently gone back to church and he is in the process of becoming a deacon in the Priesthood. He woke up and we spent the morning talking about heaven and he read a scripture from the Doctrine and Covenants from seminary. He is so excited about what he is learning, and he remembers things so much better than I ever did when I was his age. If you would like to read the details about her experience in heaven just a section of her book I have the link that you can click on.
When you click on the link I was so amazed about the flowers and the grass in heaven, she talks about how many times she was supposed to help someone else along the way in her life, but when she didnt therefore there lives were sad and never changed. At the end of her time in heaven she was reminded that the key is love. That brings me back to my friends from yesterday I had that same thought. That maybe I am not helping the people that "I should be helping".
The KEY is LOVE I need to remember that everyday with everyone and everything.

A Great Story
A Great Story!
Marie forwarded this story to her brothers and I thought you might all enjoy reading it. I know I did. It was also forwarded around my work.
A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business. Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together.
He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you. "The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of you a SEED today - one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."
One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing. By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.
Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however, he just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the seed to grow.
A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.
Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful -- in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!
When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives. Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"
All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"
When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed - Jim told him the story. The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive Officer! His name is Jim!" Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed.
"How could he be the new CEO?" the others said.
Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!"
* If you plant honesty, you will reap trust
* If you plant goodness, you will reap friends
* If you plant humility, you will reap greatness
* If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment
* If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective
* If you plant hard work, you will reap success
* If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation
So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

I did it!
I did something today that was very personal to me, was it because I finally got brave? or was it because I was tired of being pestered by the little voice inside me? I think its both. I have put it off for along time. It was a little scary, and I was not sure if I wanted to do this at all. Now I will just wait and see what happens, I guess if it was something that was meant to be than I should be more trusting and have faith, I know I did my part. I wanted to write about it, this is something that I want to remember. I did it!

Feeling Blah
BLAH...BLAH...BLAH...BLAH
THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL AFTER THE HOLIDAYS.
Everything is busy and happy during the holidays and than it slows down to nothing. The weather is just cold and I feel blah, and it's just boring. I do love the month of Jan for a brand New Year and a fresh start, but I just think that until Spring gets here the months are long.
You probably dont really care to know about it, but I am going to tell you anyway about something that is really going on ....... that's the humor of this post.
Ever since the middle of Dec I started noticing these little brown things on my desk that looked like brown rice when I first got to work. Not really thinking to much of this at first I would just clean them off and go about my day. But than I started seeing them everyday and there was alot more of them too, so it was getting a little more obvious. I cleaned my desk thoroughly inside and out, did all the little things that were neccessary to discourage any little friends from paying me a visit. Me and the other 2 girls in my office started comparing notes, and it was confirmed that we all had mouse poop on top of our desks. Boy they sure had a good time running all over our desks at night, funny no work was getting done to help us though. So my boss ran to the store during lunch that day this was Dec 23rd and bought some mouse traps. It was kinda funny here we were setting mouse traps with cookies for the bait on our last day of work before Christmas.
We had a good time as we joked and laughed with Missy (my boss) about snapping her fingers in those darn old traps but she was the only brave one. Than I got a laugh out of Linda the other girl because she wanted to set a trap right on her desk by her phone because she didnt think about any of the gross details until I mentioned it. *Sigh* I truly, truly wonder sometimes. We are indeed a office full of blondes.
Sing " Three Blonde Chicks instead of Three blind mice" ha ha.
We were going to catch us a Christmas mouse. The traps have indeed caught a handful of mice since than. But it was me that brought it up to there attention that the mouse trap that takes care of this rodent problem "outside of the office" had disappeared. So I think this problem will be resolved pretty quick....I hope anyways. Well I hope you enjoyed my little useless story about what is really going on.
But if anything exciting happens I will be sure to post about it.....but until than bye!!

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies ( aka Grinch Cookies)
Braxton and I made these cookies for Christmas eve to share with the family I nicknamed them the Grinch cookies
1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
6 to 8 drops green food color
1 egg
1 cup creme de menthe baking chips
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
1. Heat oven to 350F. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, extract, food color and egg until soft dough forms. Stir in creme de menthe baking chips and chocolate chunks. ( I stirred a little bit of all purpose flour to the dough to give the cookies more thickness about 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup)
2. Using small cookie scoop or teaspoon, drop dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool 3 minutes, remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Serve warm or cool completely. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
Christmas morning
Check out the beautiful wrapping that Braxton did on some of my presents I was impressed and the bows and the gift tag!
Surprise its Jingle Jammies :)) Pj bottoms from Old Navy
I wanted to thank Brians family for all the wonderful Christmas cards/money for us and Braxton. We think about you everyday and miss you. I wanted to thank Aunt Rheyma for the personal note written just to me, it made my day I am so happy to know that you read my blog too and for your nice compliments.
And to the Johanson family we love you and thank you all for everything that you do.
Christmas Eve
We celebrated Christmas twice this year, the first time was in November with Tyler, Tiffany and Nicholas when they were visiting during the week of Thanksgiving.
Here are the grandkids all together
Nicholas was so much fun he kept us all entertained
The Christmas Eve with the family in December, everyone opened presents from Mom and Dad. They have always made sure that all the kids, in-laws, and grandkids have always gotten presents from them every year. My mom has always made sure Brian has been taken care of. Thank you Mom and Dad so much!!
