In My own Little world and a Little piece of Heaven

The whole month of January  "I haven't been my normal self" I guess you could say.  I have been in my own little world, as I have been really working alot on the inside to heal in areas.  Its been great because it is allowing me to think alot. Its been weird I keep stumbling onto other peoples stories  on the Internet about taking better care of yourself, getting rid of sugar and soda out of your diet. (I have felt the hint, I think I am being worked on) I wrote last January 2010 on my blog  (please read that again if you want) about emotional health and how important it is as well as your physical health.

My mind has been going down a different path, and I have been thinking differently.  I was standing at the copier making copies yesterday at work, thinking about 2 of my friends. My life compared with my friends is very blessed. I had a feeling  come to me  whether it was my own feelings or not I couldn't tell, I know alot of times I get impatient with people but my normal attitude is "to just ignore people " I am not a good friend sometimes I know because I get easily mad and irritated when they arent paying much attention to " my needs". I feel like I am giving all my listening ears to everyone elses needs but when it comes to me they have no time whatsoever. So to get to my point I could be a little more thoughtful  with there problems and  more helpful.
One of my friends asked  for me to keep her in her prayers.  That is something  I dont even do for myself for my own problems. So that will be a hard one for me to swallow. (Sensitive area)

On Saturday morning (this morning) I woke up and I came across an event that Marie had gone to in Salt Lake with some friends yesterday at the Wasatch Women's banquet and that led me to a book that one of her friends had written in 1994. Marie's friend RaNelle had been in a plane crash and she was burned  75 percent all over her body. She had died and came back to life, she described what heaven was like in her short time there and how she had met her son that had not been born  to her yet. I went into the bedroom where Braxton was still sleeping and whispered in his ear the information that I read about heaven.

Braxton has just recently gone back to church and he is in the process of becoming a deacon in the Priesthood. He woke up and we spent the morning talking about heaven and he read a scripture from the Doctrine and Covenants from seminary. He is so excited about what he is learning, and he remembers things so much better than I ever did when I was his age. If you would like to read the details about her experience in heaven  just a section of her book I have the link that you can click on.

When you click on the link I was so amazed about the flowers and the grass in heaven,  she talks about  how many times she was supposed to help someone else along the way in her life, but when she didnt therefore there lives were sad and never changed.  At the end of her time in heaven she was reminded that the key is love. That brings me back to my friends from yesterday I had that same thought. That maybe I am not helping the people that "I should be helping".
The KEY is LOVE  I need to remember that everyday with everyone and everything.

I Got My Answer, and the Latest

Like all of us I woke up for the second time this week at 3:00am thinking about certain things. It is pretty useless to try to go back to sleep because I know I wont so I always grab the good ole laptop. In this case this morning I am going to write some of those feelings out. I was thinking that I am going to call these feelings "stuff " a part of me wants to write so much more about this "stuff" on the blog but I am not quite there yet. I was always made to feel a certain way growing up like by keeping quiet was exercising self control. On the other hand I feel differently I feel that you should express your feelings. That is my personal war that I am in, but my side is finally winning now! OK getting on with my point I think it was really funny because somehow I came across exactly what I needed to hear and it helped me with my answer to my personal war. I was pulling up a blog entry done by someone that I don't even know and it was also about her concern of expressing her feelings at ALL times too. (with respect of course) She wrote how her husband had identified it as a sign to her problem when a certain song on the radio came on in the car. Her husband was with her and helped her to understand that it is ok To say what you need to say. Life is to short to leave things unsaid or unwritten. It is very important to express your feelings because that is who you are, and for exercising self control can only lead you to emotional destruction. It truly can I have experienced that.

The latest with me;  I was asked to take on a new responsibility at work. We have a new process starting with NYK that I will be the rep over, I will handle all the paperwork and be the contact person with all the NYK managers. It is still in the beginning process, and someone from our building has to visit the six NYK states to train them this process.  It will get time consuming at times so another girl in my office is going to help me with my old job so I wont be overwhelmed.

For the past week I have felt such a good feeling that everything is going to be OK I was a little concerned about this new responsibility at work , but I have felt so calm. I get the feeling that another job opportunity is around the corner and to leave Icon would be pure joy. I am proud of myself for a lot of things in my life, I had my yearly checkup this week and the Dr stated I was healthy and for me to keep up the good work. Even though I feel sometimes from others because of my weight that I am not. Well from time to time out of the clear BLUE sky I probably will express myself and even though it may not interest everyone I will be the one to gain from this I am sure.

Emotional Health

Emotional health is a big, BIG part of being physically healthy. Read that last sentence again. If you are not emotionally healthy, you will not feel good physically. I recently read an interesting article by Dr. Ted Koren, DC. Here are some thoughts from the article.

Emotional health is dependent on being connected to yourself and to others. The more connected you are to yourself, the more you can connect with others and the more fulfilling your connections (relationships) will be. The more good relationships you have in your life, the more happiness, joy, hope, optimism, and vitality you will have. You will feel and be healthier, live longer, and you will recover more quickly from physical and emotional traumas.

Are you emotionally disconnected? Do you hold pockets of unresolved anger, fear, resentment, pain or other emotions locked up in your body and mind? Whatever the cause of those bottled up emotions, whether it is abuse, conflict with others, etc., these trapped emotions keep us from living fully in the present because some of our energy is still living in the past.

Past traumas and fears can manifest as physical ailments and emotional stress. They disconnect us from our deeper selves. When we are out of touch with our emotional wellness, our intuition is
clouded, our life's purpose is confused, and we have difficulty forming healthy relationships. All of this can lead to disease.

Just as toxins can build up in our bodies from our physical environment, so toxic emotions can build up inside of us and make us just as sick, if not more sick. Make it a goal to rid your body and mind of toxic emotions, feelings, and beliefs. A good book to read on this subject is: FREE TO LOVE, FREE TO HEAL by David Simon, MD. You can heal your body by healing your emotions.

I came across this on the Internet, and copied it on to my blog. This was very interesting to me, and important because sections of this pertain to me.
