What's new?
It’s my new vehicle, a Chevy Equinox we got it yesterday and its really fun to drive and we all seem to like it. To catch up on what happened since the accident I wasn't able to file the claim till the Tuesday after Labor day, there was a lot of phone calls, and I had a rental car for a few days. The Jeep was totaled but I was very pleased at how fast it got taken care of and didn't drag on into weeks. By Friday that same week everything was finalized and the check from the other driver's insurance was being sent to pay off the remaining balance what I still owed, and there was enough money left over for me to have some for a down payment on another vehicle with a little extra to put in the bank. So it was a positive outcome for a stressful sad week. I still am very nervous about other drivers and want to put a Big bumper sticker on the back of it that says STOP.

The Apple Game
I found a fun game to play, you have to move the basket that is at the bottom of the page to catch the apples that are falling. At the end of the 100 apples it will post your score. It only takes a few minutes but it is harder than it looks. If you want to play give it a try I tried 3 times and my score got up to 25, I know that's pretty low but I can count that as practicing right? .Click here

Accident
For a quick summary I was driving with Braxton and Taia in the backseat. We was heading north in front of the Winco store in Roy/Clinton when I was rear ended by a car. I was at a complete stop behind the traffic at the intersection when it happened. The traffic is getting really busy there with the new store now so I even had to pay attention when the traffic had to stop really fast. Everyone is Ok and we were taken care of by the nice family that lived in the house by the accident. They took good care of Braxton and offered us Gatorade and made sure no one was hurt and called the cops. I was listening to the song “Tomorrow” in the Compass when the accident happened, now I find that song to be right on and added it to my playlist because It will be okay, no one got seriously hurt and that’s what matters and we can deal with whatever happens next as it comes our way.

Family History
On Wed Aug 25, 2010 my Aunt Thelma Johanson Ovard passed away from complications of cancer. This past Monday was her funeral and graveside services. I was very touched that day, it was a very nice service as her grand kids and great-grand kids released balloons in the air at the cemetery after saying " Families are Forever". That whole day I just thought about life, my family, and a little about family history. I came across a website on the Internet and it has my great-grandmother, great-grandfather, grandma, grandpa, my uncles, my aunt, and cousin, that have passed on with their obituaries and pictures. If you are interested to read a little about my family history on the Johanson side just click on the link here.
